SMH Request for CDC to update mold info

The following email, below, was sent by our SMH Director to the CDC on Sept. 8, 2009 - a request for the United States Centers for Disease Control to update its mold information to correspond with that produced by the World Health Organization, July, 2009. Previous communications with the CDC have resulted in the receipt of a listing of the CDC's information links, all of which are inadequately describing the health effects of mold. Since the WHO is doing the work, we want the CDC to report it and inform the nation's healthcare professionals, health departments, and the general public regarding the serious health threat caused by dampness and mold. Our site visitors may wish to add their voices and emails to this effort, by writing the CDC at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . The mailing addresses for the Director of the CDC and President Obama are below our letter. (SMH)

Note: Your vital support, through a small donation to subscribe to this site, helps SMH advocate for our nation's children and school staff to occupy safe, clean, dry, healthy school buildings. (S. Brinchman, SMH)

SMH Tribute to the late Senator Kennedy

The Center for School Mold Help would like to recognize the legislative accomplishments of the late Senator Ted Kennedy, including his strong interest in the betterment of living conditions for the common man, woman, and child in the United States. In that interest, Senator Kennedy called for the US GAO: MOLD Audit, completed in 2008, recognizing that mold is a threat to the public health. We are in his debt for sponsorship of so many legislative bills that passed and made our lives better. Ave atque vale - Hail and farewell. (SMH)
