The children and staff returned to Key Middle School at the end of March, as the school was opened before construction was complete, and reportedly, without the use of mold remediation techniques. There are a number of observers who have told us, and the media, that Key Middle School is still very unhealthy and is making people sick.
The Center for School Mold Help is very concerned for the welfare of these students and staff and call for the still-contaminated school buildings to be closed, for the safety of the occupants. Perhaps they might be relocated, on site, to healthy portables brought in by this school district. We feel very badly for the students and staff who wanted to go back to their own school, after spending many months under cramped, unsuitable educational conditions, wanting their home school to be safe. We feel this is not too much to ask (SMH).
