San Diego Toxic Mold Story: Sick Schools
This segment, from San Diego Insider, includes interviews related to a number of toxic mold exposures within San Diego County, including several San Diego Unified School District schools and an apartment. A harried school district representative nervously denies that anyone got sick in the two schools, despite the statements of over 130 people from Sherman Elementary and Kennedy Elementary. Both schools were torn down, ultimately, with ludicrous reasons given by the school district. Among those interviewed are Susan Brinchman, Executive Director of The Center for School Mold Help, www.schoolmoldhelp.org, a San Diego school mold victim, and Janet Pederson, a teacher also made ill by school mold exposure. Some of this footage was used, by permission, in the haunting documentary movie, Black Mold Exposure, produced by Michael Roland Williams (2009), www.blackmoldmovie.com. Produced by Jeanne Rawdin, Cox Communications Executive Producer, this first appeared on San Diego Insider, a news show, in 2006. We hope you will watch and share this ten minute segment that is typical of many school mold exposures. Also covered is a mother sharing her concern about her children's mold exposures in their apartment.
This story describes the symptoms to look for with toxic mold exposure, as well as the denials of the building owner, the local school district.
