Whether it is a school or other workplace environment, the denial mantra remains the same. This moldy racetrack building worker tells it like it is!

Work environments should be free of mold
As a former employee at Surfside Race Place, I wish to clarify some of the statements made by Michael Garcia, a health and safety official with the 22nd District Agricultural Association.
This mold condition existed, and the district had been notified, for at least a year prior to any attempts to correct the situation.
If the eight out of 13 full-time employees had not filed a workman's compensation claim this condition would more than likely still exist.
I believe that eight out of 13 is more than a “few disgruntled employees” as characterized by Garcia.
Garcia, a civil servant who more than likely has a very nice office with air conditioning, said these people complained because they want the business to fail.
He should realize that if this business fails the employees will lose their jobs. All they want is a clean, safe work environment, just like he has.
