The trichothecene mycotoxins are toxic to humans,
other mammals, birds, fish, a variety of
invertebrates, plants, and eukaryotic cells in general.
Once the trichothecene mycotoxins
enter the systemic circulation, regardless
of the route of exposure, they affect rapidly proliferating
